Walk with me

Digital collage and illustration for the Spectres and Dreams series. The creatures are within a theatre; the floral/tree area seen through great, glass doors with golden doorknobs.

I am currently experiencing something quite difficult, unusual, unexpected, and almost impossible to explain. This image soothes me in a quietly twisted, tender way. And I miss playing with the darkness, sometimes. It is essential for me to balance things out, to feel my way forward like a somnambulist sifting through ever-changing dreams. Accompanied by a ghost.

Working to: Songs For Your Lost Children by St Mary's (the marvelous Chad Merritt). A beautifully haunting affair.

I'd like to cling to the creatures back and allow it to take me beyond the transparent doors.... looks magical and safe...

It has been a little while since my last visit, but something lead me your way. Not sure what, though. No matter. For some reason, I have become fascinated with the following: the theater, strange looking creatures, forests, & dreams. It should be no surprise, then, that I shrieked with delight when I saw this illustration. So enchanting.

I'm coming back to this image again and again. This creature is probably one of your best creations.
By the way, I also love the last St Mary's album and I think it makes a perfect soundtrack for this vision, like a dark lullaby, somthing somber and reassuring at the same time.
