Crowns

Images taken from the winter 2010 Toast catalogue.

Inspired by crowns, frosted eyelids, shimmering phantoms, sparkling gowns. And the deepest midnight blue. Silver stars, velvet night. However I shall manage to translate this into imagery remains to be seen.

Been drawing for the past 12 hours: pencil and charcoal, messy, physical, unconscious stuff. My left hand hurts. But oh so obsessed with crowns. I particularly love the crown in the first Toast photograph - perhaps I should try my hand at creating my own.

We'll see!
